The Behaviour of a Dandelion 

2 X 90 MINUTE SESSIONS

This behaviour management session helps staff to understand how to implement  positive behaviour management strategies that bring optimum learning environments. The session includes understanding and curating a framework for behaviour and wellbeing that supports not only the children but the staff and families of all those involved.

Zones of Regulation

1 X 120 MINUTE SESSION

In this session we discuss the place for social and emotional learning curriculums in the classroom and how they support both staff and students. We learn how to use the zones of regulation as an SEL program. The zones of regulation help teach strategies for emotional and sensory self-management and are rooted in cognitive behavioural therapy. When implemented into the classroom as a 'whole class' program, students are given the ability to identify how they are feeling in the moment and the level of alertness as well as guide them to strategies to support regulation.

Mindful educators support education staff in building our children's emotional resilience and overall wellbeing. Coaching & Mentoring

Recommended after professional development sessions for best implementation

Our Coaching and Mentoring on the Floor sessions offer practical, on-the-job support for educators, helping them to integrate new mindfulness and meditation techniques into their daily practice. During these sessions, our mindful educator will engage directly with staff as they interact with children, providing real-time guidance and feedback to enhance their application of the techniques learned in the workshop. The sessions provide a unique opportunity for educators to pause, reflect on their own emotions through mindful activities, and receive ongoing support to manage challenging behaviours and promote overall wellbeing. We recommend scheduling one or two follow-up coaching sessions to fully develop staff capability, with each session tailored to the needs of the team. This may include critical reflection discussions, modelling, planning, resource sharing, and individualised behaviour plan development, ensuring that educators are supported in creating a mindful and effective learning environment.
